Auction Donations Needed

Capital City Volunteers is once again holding our annual Fall auction to be held 5 October to 18 October. We are looking for new and barely used items that we can use in our auction sale. The auction is one of our most important fundraiser of the year. The money raised by the auction is used to help us provide services to our clients in need in the community.

We would love to hear from you if you have items that we could use for the auction. We need things like art objects; handcrafted items such as knitting, sewing, quilting, jewelry and unused house-hold items. Gift baskets are also very popular if you are good at putting things together to make an attractive gift. If you have something you would like to donate, call us at 250-380-0660 or email us.

Thanks for using our SMILE CARDS to shop at Thrifty Foods. Recently Thrifty Foods helped us buy some new office equipment. Smile Cards make great gifts, let us know how many you need and we will send them to you. Load them with as much as you want and people can spend your dollars at Thrifty Foods. Add cash to a card and Thrifty Foods automatically donates 5% to our Smile Card Account.

Volunteers assist individuals in maintaining their independence by visiting, driving them to medical appointments, assisting with minor repairs and gardening, and meeting other requests as needed.
Many local businesses, foundations, and hundreds of volunteers have contributed to the agency's ability to continue to provide one to one volunteer outreach services to the people of Victoria.
