Coordinator, Better at Home Program

Capital City Volunteers (working with the James Bay Community Project) is looking for someone to cover a maternity leave in the position of Coordinator of the Better at Home Program for Victoria and Oak Bay. The Better at Home Program provides services to seniors such as transportation to medical appointments, light housekeeping, errands and minor home repairs. This position coordinates contractors to provide housekeeping services and works with the Coordinator of Volunteers to provide other services through the help of volunteers. It also works in conjunction with outreach workers from James Bay Community Project and Capital City Volunteers, monitors participants’ receipt of the services and meets all reporting requirements of the funder.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, a good listener, a team player and able to set professional boundaries. Experience working with seniors will be an asset.
