Thrifty Smile Cards and a Grant From Ibm Buys CCV Photocopier
25 September 2008
Hi All Volunteers:
Just want to let you know that due to volunteers using our Smile Cards at Thrifty Foods and a grant from IBM, we are now able to buy a new, much needed refurbished photocopier. I will send a picture of it as soon as we get it in our office. We have been functioning with a very old photocopier that had numerous challenges and was often get paper stuck in the rollers, resulting in a big mess. The copier was so old that there are no spare parts for it anymore.
I want to thank all of our Thrifty Smile card users who have made this possible. The agency has a plan of slowly replacing its office equipment as we continue to get donations through the Smile card program.
If any of you shop at Thrifty's and do not yet have a Smile Card, please let me know and I will be happy to send you one with instructions. If anyone loses their card, please let me know and I can replace it for you. Karina Wolf
Thrifty Smile Cards Buys CCV Computer
4 June 2008
Hi all you great volunteers:
I just want to show off our new laptop computer that we have purchased with our Thrifty Smile Card fundraiser.
We have bought a new laptop computer for our office and now Nansi, our outreach worker can use a computer without having to ask me if she can use our main computer in the office which was always a dilemma as we both needed to use the computer at the same time.
I just want to thank those of you that have been using your smile card and also encourage you to keep using it as we are now trying fundraise for a new photocopier for the office as our old one is so old that they do not make any more parts for it and half the time it does not work.
If any one of you shop at Thrifty Foods and does not yet have a Smile Card, please get in touch with me and I will explain the program to you.
Thank you to you all. Karina Wolf
