Working in partnership with the James Bay Community Project, Capital City Volunteers is proud to provide opportunities for volunteerism and community engagement.
About Us
Capital City Volunteers (CCV) is an independent non-profit agency that supports seniors to live safely and with dignity in their own homes.
Through a network of trained volunteers, CCV provides rides to medical appointments, friendly visits, help with errands, and other practical supports that reduce isolation and strengthen connection.
Relationship with James Bay Community Project
CCV is co-located with the James Bay Community Project (JBCP), sharing space, infrastructure, and a common vision for a healthy, connected community. Although CCV and JBCP are separate legal agencies, the sister organizations work together to help seniors across Victoria age in place through complementary programs and shared resources.
Governance
CCV is governed by its own Board of Directors, which provides strategic direction, financial oversight, and community leadership. In partnership with JBCP’s leadership and staff, the Board helps ensure that volunteer services are safe, responsive, and aligned with a shared commitment to seniors’ independence and well-being.
